YOUR INFORMATION
A little clarity
about your privacy.
This policy explains what FoodEase processes, why we need it, and the choices you have.
Privacy policy · Updated 14 October 2026
Who we are
FoodEase is operated by Magicka Ventures Co Limited. This policy covers the FoodEase app and foodease.net. For privacy questions or requests, contact emaildevdude@gmail.com.
FoodEase uses a shared Webifyr sign-in and backend services. Some authentication and account-deletion links therefore use a Webifyr domain; FoodEase's public website is foodease.net.
Information we use, and why
- Your account
- Email address, account identifier, display name, optional profile photo, sign-in credentials and session information support authentication, your profile, security and support.
- Your kitchen
- Recipes, cookbooks, shopping lists, Pantry items, meal plans, dietary preferences, saved meals and meal times let us provide and sync the features you choose. Shared shopping lists are available to the people you invite.
- Nutrition and body profile
- If you enter them, we save your age, height, weight, activity level and the sex-based equation selection used by the calorie calculator. Meal details, photos and estimated calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, vitamins and minerals support your diary and daily totals. These details can reveal health-related information. The calculator is optional; you can edit or remove its saved profile. Estimates are not medical measurements or advice.
- Photos and voice
- We process photos you take or choose for meal estimates, recipe scanning, identification, avatars or posts. Microphone input is used when you choose voice features. Your device controls camera, microphone and photo access.
- Conversations
- Sue processes your messages, relevant conversation history and app information needed to answer or carry out your request. Messages and resulting actions can be stored in your chat history.
- Purchases and operation
- Plan status, transaction identifiers, receipts, credit usage and payment-provider events support purchases, restores, subscription management and fraud prevention. Payment details are handled by the checkout provider. Request times, errors, network/device information and security logs help operate and protect the service.
Photos, voice and AI services
When you use an AI feature, the content needed for that request leaves your device. FoodEase uses Unicorn API for Sue's text assistance, Kie.ai for features including image analysis, transcription and generated media, and Google's Gemini Live for natural voice conversations. These services may route requests to their underlying model providers. Relevant text, selected images, audio and conversation context are processed to produce a response.
For example, scanning a meal sends the image for a nutrition estimate; speaking a request sends audio for transcription; a natural voice conversation streams microphone audio to Google's service. Text from a voice request can become part of your saved conversation. Avoid including sensitive information that a cooking request does not need.
FoodEase stores saved photos using Backblaze B2, and uses hosted database and authentication services for account and app data. AI providers and hosting services may process information in countries other than your own. Their processing and retention are governed by the applicable service terms and privacy policies. We do not promise that third-party processing has zero retention.
Provider information: Google privacy, Kie.ai privacy, Unicorn API, and Backblaze privacy.
Public posts and sharing
When you publish a post, its content, image and associated public profile information can be seen by other people. Do not publish information you want to keep private. People may copy or reshare public content. When you share a recipe through another app, that app receives the content you choose to share and handles it under its own privacy policy.
Cookies, local storage and analytics
FoodEase uses browser or device storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences and timers, and support offline shopping lists. Signing out clears account-specific local information; device preferences can remain. Clearing browser or app storage may remove these settings and your saved session.
The web app loads Google Analytics to measure visits and usage. It can use identifiers and cookies, including the _ga cookie, and process page addresses, referring pages, browser/device information and interaction events. This is separate from the information you deliberately save in your FoodEase account. See Google's data collection explanation and Google's browser opt-out tool. You can also use your browser's privacy controls to block analytics requests or clear cookies.
FoodEase records whether in-app product offers are shown, opened or dismissed, and remembers recently shown offers on your device. Opening a shop takes you to a separate website with its own policy. This privacy page itself does not load Google Analytics.
Subscriptions and service providers
When a purchase method is available, Apple or Google handles native-store purchases; website checkout may be handled by Stripe or PayPal. The selected provider receives the information needed for your payment, and sends subscription and transaction status to FoodEase. Availability varies by platform. Deleting FoodEase data does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription; manage it in the store where you bought it.
We use service providers to deliver the features described here. Information may also need to be disclosed to meet legal obligations, respond to valid legal requests, protect people or prevent misuse. Contact us if you need more information about the providers handling your request.
Your choices and deletion
- Edit your information: update your profile, body profile, meals and other saved content using their controls in the app.
- Control permissions: change camera, microphone and photo permissions in your device settings. Features needing those permissions will be unavailable until enabled again.
- Delete FoodEase data: open your account's About page and choose “Delete my FoodEase data.” This removes your app profile and associated recipes, diary, body profile, photos, posts and chats. Lists shared with other members may be transferred to them rather than deleted.
- Delete the shared sign-in: FoodEase data deletion leaves the shared Webifyr login in place. Use the account deletion form or email us to request deletion of that account too.
- Request help or a copy: email emaildevdude@gmail.com to request access, correction, a copy or deletion, or to raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify account ownership. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to your local privacy regulator.
Saved content remains associated with your account until you remove it or request deletion. Limited billing, security and credit-abuse prevention records can remain after app-data deletion, including a protected email-derived identifier that prevents repeated free-credit claims. Copies held by recipients, payment providers or other services are subject to their own deletion rules. Contact us about retention questions; we do not publish a single deletion deadline for every provider or record.
Security, children and changes
FoodEase uses encrypted connections, authentication and access controls to protect account data. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. Please keep your account credentials private.
The body-profile calorie calculator is intended for adults. If a child has provided personal information and you need help removing it, contact us. Store age ratings describe app content and do not replace parental guidance or applicable privacy protections.
We may update this policy as FoodEase changes. The date above identifies the current version. For a question about any change, please contact us.
